The admin manual says in part:
To configure the client to use Trusted Authentication
1. Create a valid configuration file on the client machine.
The following conditions apply for the configuration file:
u2022 The name of the file must be TrustedPrincipal.conf.
u2022 The file must be located at businessobjects_root/win32_x86/plugins/auth/secEnterprise.
businessobjects_root/win32_x86 exists, but the subfolders plugins/auth/secEnterprise do not.
I put the TrustedPrincipal.conf file in: businessobjects_root/win32_x86
Is the documentation lacking?
Thanks,
Mike
Yes, I noticed this.
The French documentation is not updated ; the english one is good.
The folder you choose is the right one

Hi Mike,
Are you enabling trusted authentication so that your report are refreshed against your SAP datasource using SNC? If so, you can follow the instructions defined in the Integration for SAP Solutions Install and Admin guide. If you look at the guide you will see step by step details on enabling this.
You can find this guide on SMP under SAP Support Infrastructure | Business Objects Support
Basically the steps are to allow your processing servers, CMS and your java application server to use SNC. We have defined all these step in the install guide referenced above.
thanks,
Mike

My question was just about where to put the TrustedPrincipal.conf file.
The doc says: The file must be located at businessobjects_root/win32_x86/plugins/auth/secEnterprise.
But it does not exist only: businessobjects_root/win32_x86
I'm not such a great fan of the doc BTW. I have a couple issues I'm trying ot resolve and when I get it fixed I can award points to Claire.
I do appreciate your comments btw. Thanks,
Mike
