Change log for SM30

For how long will the history be retained in change log for SM30 tables?

I heard there is an option to archive change logs for these SM30 tables. Where can this be activated?

Can anyone help me with the above queries please?

The archiving object BC_DBLOGS is used for archiving customizing table change logs. The R/3 System logs customizing table changes if the Log data changes flag is set in the technical settings for the table.Logging can be activated and deactivated for a particular client using the profile parameter rec/client .

The logs are saved in the table DBTABLOG. The archiving object archives this table only.
