Material Group

Hi all,

What is differenc between the material group in MARA table and material group 1,2,3,4,5 in MVKE table.

Could anyone explain in detail.

Apart from what Pankaj said, these can be used in condition tables.. which in turn affect pricing..

Once the config settings are made...you can maintain this data in Materail master in Sales Org/Dist.Channel level..

Material Groups of Sales are created in Path SPRO > Logistics - General > Material Master > Settings for Key Fields > Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution > Define Material Groups

Hi,

Material Group in MARA is used in all SAP Transactions like; MM, SD, PP, etc... And Material Groups in MVKE are specially used for Sales Purpose in SD Module only.

Material group of MARA is created in OMSF and Material Groups of Sales are created in Path SPRO > Logistics - General > Material Master > Settings for Key Fields > Data Relevant to Sales and Distribution > Define Material Groups
