copying a old plant to new ?????

is it good to copy a plant by using t-code EC02 or OX10, since i would like to copy all the things ( like movement types, mrp and so on ) ....could someone tell me which is best way to do this to create a new plant

Hi,

It is suggested by SAP that to create new plants, use the existing plants to make copies of it.

As a result of this, it will copy all the material valuation, MRP, inventory management related customizations of the existing plant to new plant.

Thank You Pankaj, but should i use ec02 or ox10 t-code to do it ?

It is better and recommended to copy from OX10.

i heard it would be better to copy using EC02 since u can copy all the mrp special procurement keys, all the movement types ..so on .....which one is good

Hi,

First copy Plant in EC02 and then come to OX10, here you will get the New Plant and edit the details of new Plant code (For e.g. Plant name, address, etc...) as per requirement.

If you copy from OX10 also all these settings will be copied.

how can i check, whether all the movement types are copied or not...MRP ...

Hi,

Go to OMJJ and find out if all the movements are there or not.

u can use omjj to see the movement types

or

go to se16

in table give V_156_VC

u will get the list
