Searching for a Query

Hi People,

How do we search for a specific query in Bex.

The search button is not fine. Even though a query ZQuery exists, its denying that fact.

When you manually add that name and say Open, it works fine.

You can see all the queries in Meta data repository.

If you know the cube name (infoprovider name) you can find out by going to the Transport connection option too

I have the query name and nothing else. If I had known the cube name, I could have searched for infoarea and then search by specific IA on BEX whoch would have given me the result.

Thanks for your reply though.

Both options are checked and I can see the query and open it , if I paste or type the name in text box below.

The best practice to name a query is to include the IP name at the start.

Ok, when you open the query in query designer -->go to query prperties, there u can see the infoprovider name.
