Change material group in Purchase Order

hi

i want to know how we can change material group in P.O?

for exp, for a Item like PCB i define material group 1020 in P.O.

but i changed it by 1022 in material master.but in P.O its show old material group .how we can change it in Purchase Order?

HI,

Once the material group is fed into the Material master, then you cannot change the material group in the MMR in the standard system. May be you can play around with the field selection for MM02 tcode and make it changeable through SPRO.

But once the PO is done the material master cannot be changed. Try and see if material group is present in the item details tab for changing it

The Material Group Field Value will be Pulled into Purchase Order thru Material Master. So Usually it will be Grayed Out. So, you cannot change Material Group in Purchase Order.

For this, You need to Change Material Group in Material Master.

if ur po is processed then it is not possible

if it is not processed for gr then just delete the existing material and give new entry of material in same po

Dear,

Please ignore eariler mail.

You can't change material group in purchase order.

First change material group in MM02.

Then create new purchase order for material.

NOTE: - First check material group in MM02. As per my view if u change material group and then try to create new po system display u updated material group.

You can't change material group in existing po
