Hi All,
How to use PURGE command on SAP B1 database?
Regards,
Tamil
Hi Tamil,
At the moment, it is not supported to perform any commands or queries on the database other than SELECT statements. Any operation on the database outside of the DI API or the Business One application is not supported at present and could possibly result in database corruption. If you have a specific need to Purge the database you can contact support for advice or clearance on what you can do in order to ensure you will still be supported.

Niall

Hi Tamil,
What do you mean by a purge command? Are you talking about data archiving or simply deleting data?
The current versions of SBO have no data archiving features though it is rumoured that the next version may have archiving. Deleting data from the system tables is not allowed, with a few exceptions (eg if a business partner has no transactions then you can remove this BP via the user interface or via the DI API). You can delete data from your user-defined tables but not user-defined objects. You can also set the history logging to zero to clear the history tables (this will clear the AXXX tables).
Kind Regards,
Owen
