Hi All,
How to create a new field in Sales order document ? If we create a UDF its is for all the marketing documents. Is there anyway to create a UDF in singular document form.
Thanks & Regards
Balaji
We can categorize the UDFs and assign the categories to the users.

Dear Balaji,
It is not possible to add the UDF only in Sales Order form. When you will create a UDF
under marketing document row/header level then it will be available in all the Marketing
document.
The only option is you can restrict the user to access that particular UDF through authorization.

The UDF gets created in all Marketing documents but you can Use the categories to group them as per the document / department and make those only visible for the USER

Hi Sridhar,
Your answer is partially helpful. I can categorize the UDF based on documents; but to make them visible or active based on users is not possible. The form settings gives the flexibility and not restriction to users. Even then there is no way of preventing users from accessing specific fields.

HI
What you have to do is to Categorise the UDFs or make the UDF Visible/ Invisible for each and Every user and Restrict the user from clicking the 'Form Settings' Icon.
You can restrict 'FormSettings' by opening the Authorization screen and setting 'General -> Document Settings' to No Authorization.
No, the UDF will be created for all marketing documents.
