Planned orders not getting created during MRP run for configurable material

Dear SAP GURUS,

we are having make to order sinario and varint configuration sinario.

Based on sales order of FERT in which chracteristics are maintained ,MRP Run is carried out but planned orders are not getting genrated for 2 materails.

All the materails in the BOM are configrable ( Basic data view Chek box checked).

Error we are getting is Material requires configuration.

Please advice on this matter

Hi,

Hope you have a super BOM with all the components for all variants and maintained appropriate selection conditions for each of them. When the characteristics enterd in sales order for FERT matches these selection conditions, they will be considered as required to meet the sales order and will be planned during MRP.

Please check if the selection condition for these items are maintained in BOM. If yes, check if they match the characteristics entered in the sales order for your FERT material.

You should double check on the MRP view in the material master. You need to maintain it.
