Required runtime files...

Hey All !

I have just started using Crystal Reports 2008 with vs2005. I've had some really good luck so far. The one problem that I am having is getting a co-worker to be able to run my .Net application and reports. First, I am running the trial version. Second, we have not installed Crystal Reports on my co-workers computer. I have given to him all of my reports and application files. I have also given him 4 of the Crystal Reports "runtime" files. This includes the following:

Interop.Crystal.dll

Interop.CrystalAnalysisCommonControlsLib.dll

AxInterop.CrystalAnalysisCommonControlsLib.dll

AxInterop.Crystal.dll

The problem is when we try to run the report application it crashes. Am I missing something like another DLL?

Hi Larry,

You will find the CR2008 [runtimes|http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp#08] here.

The msi/exe file when run in clients machine will install the crystal runtimes and then try to run your application.

Hi,

In addition to the above suggestion.

When you install the runtime package to the server you need to provide the product key of the CR and you must have the administrative rights on a server.
