Inventory transactions for Assembly Items

I have a scenario where I need to show inventory movement for Assembly Items. My approach was to create an Sales / Assembly BOM (which is the same thing in SAP B1 2007a) first and then try to show inventory movement of the same.

Since, We cannot show the on-hand stock for a SALES BOM Parent Item, how can we create / show inventory movement for such items ?

What you really mean by show Inventory Movements? When an Item is not defined as an Inventory item there are only marketing transactions for that Item and no movements in the Warehouse.

The inventory movement will only reside in the component level for those items. There is no inventory movement for sales\assemble BOM items per se.

If you really want to get that virtue quantities, query can be used to show the number in your report.
