snc name and user/client do not match

My systems:

sap 7.0 sp18 and boxi Rel3

I was using crystal 2008 from the machine where we have boxi installed and when I try to create a new conneciton i get this error:

"SNC Name and specified user/client do not match"

In the CMC we do have SNC enabled. Is the problem that I'm attempting the connecction from the machine where boxi is installed?

The reason I was getting this error message was that I was attempting to use Crystal 2008 on the box where the installation was and this is where I had env variable "SAPLOGON_INI_FILE". I had remotely logged on to the machine.

The BO docs say in part "Alternatively, you can add the full path to the saplogon.ini file to the SAPLOGON_INI_FILE environment variable."

In the saplogon.ini if you set the advanced params for SNC then snc "trusts" the user logged on and therefore I was getting the mismatch of snc name and user/client.

BTW setting the SAPLOGON_INI_FILE environment variable makes it so the user can not specify a system from the SAP Logon Pad.
