Overtime

Hello Experts!

I have a scenario and was wondering how it would be configured in SAP, any help would be greatly appreciated and points will be awarded.

If an employee works overtime based on two different hourly rates, or straight time for that matter, during the same workweek, is it possible to take the weighted average and pay them based on that? So if an employee works 20 hours @ $10/hour and 20 hours @ $12/hour we pay them the 40 hours based on ($10 + $12)/2 = $11.00/hour. Is this possible, and if so, what would be the configuration steps?

Thanks in advance!!

Hi

This is also an interesting requirement from the business

What I think for this is as follows

Create Two Overtime Attendance Types ...

ABCD----for Overtime @ $10/hour

EFGH----for overtime @ $12/hour

Use one periodic Time Type 1234 if the Overtime is given Monthly ....

Write a custom PCR to add up the number of hours recorded by both the Attendence types in 1234 and in the same PCR Generate a time wagetype, 2345( Lets say)...now u have hours of both the overtime attendence in one wage type.....we need to give the rate now....

then in the table V_512w_b, give the avarage of hourly rates by using the T510J table ....

I dont know how u r fixing the hourly rates as $10 and $12...

if common for all the employees then use table T510J

Or rate can also be calculated by writing a rule in payroll also ....

Please get back to me if more details are required, we can make it more simpler.

thanks and Regards
