Hi all,
We are importing BAPI from R/3 into XI and doing mappings.
when you go to import objects and give the log on details and choose your BAPIS we normally see
1) Z_BAPI_NAME1 and
2) Z_BAPI_NAME1.Response
Right?
I am seeing another option Z_BAPI_NAME1.Exception
What is this? Does this suggest that something is wrong in the R/3 side? or in XI
I imported it again and activated but still it shows the same thing,
Any suggestions please???
Hi,
>> am seeing another option Z_BAPI_NAME1.Exception
it only means that in the BAPI they have defined an exception, and when u import the BAPI, it generates BAPI.exception just like request and response.
This is not a bug, its a standard feature.
You are ok .
Cheers,
Naveen

Harika,
Every BAPI will have three messages - Request, Response and Exception depending on how the BAPI is defined.
Exception message is the error message that comes back when the BAPI raise a exception.
