Approval Procedures

Hello.

I am wanting to delete an Approval Procedures.

Currently we have a 2 approval set for PO but at this time, we do not need it. Found that the PO's are hard to track. Any suggestions?

Dear Dayna L Woolsey,

Its not possible to delete an approval template in Business One when

transactions have been done using the Approval.

It is possible to remove different approval stages that are not

attached to any template but the person deleting them can not be an

originator or approver in the stages that are being deleted.

It is however possible to set the approval template as inactive by

clearing the checkbox "active".

In Business one , when using approvals templates

they can not be modified by the one of the originators/maunufatures.

If the system is set up using the manager as one of its originators

then the user 'manager' will not be able to modify the template.

This is logical as if you are an approver you should not be allowed to

modify it.

This is the way the system is designed to work.

I hope this clarifies the behaviour in SAP Business One.

Thank you both! Makes sense! I have noted NOT to include the manager as on of the originators in the future.

Hi Dayna,

You could just uncheck the active check box to deactivate it. No need to delete in case you need it in the future.
