Quitting Java SAPGUI 7.10 (all revs.): only killing the process

Dear all,

with java sapgui on Mac OSX Leopard (10.5) I'm often unable to quit the application.

To exit it, I should often kill the process.

Also automatic rebooting after a software upgrade is stopped because it is unable to quit sapgui.

Is anyone experiencing the same issue? Any hint?

Thanks,

Lorenzo

Hello Lorenzo,

we were assuming that the quit problem no longer exists with SAP GUI for Java 71.0 rev 5 and newer. In case you somehow can reproduce it with rev 6, please first activate traces with tracekey SHUTDOWN and then try to quit.

Regarding logging out of Mac OS X or rebooting, the problem is that currently we either have the option to immediately exit SAP GUI for Java with loosing data, or to stop the reboot process. We have created a feature request at Apple to get some API to be able to let the user save his data and quit to continue the reboot process, but it is not yet available. Apologizes, but we can not make this work correctly on our own.

Best regards

Rolf-Martin
