STMS Configuration... in Sap Solution Manager 7.0

Hi gurus,

I´m newest in SAP World... first I would like to know if the configuration of STMS is independent of system, this is, there is differences makes a STMS installation/configuration in SAP Solution Manager or in R/3 system?

So I need to configure the STMS in SAP solution Manager 7.0 SP15... how can i do that, is there some manual for do that? Where i can download that?

Hi.

TMS configuration is done once within a transport domain. You do this on your domain controller SAP system.

Usually one of the R/3 systems (EEV/QS/PRD) is used as domain controller but you could also use Solution Manager as domain controller.

Depending on your system landscape and your requirements you could also use one R/3 system as domain controller and Sol Man as another domain controller. But if this is the case Sol Man and R/3 systems reside in two different domains since you got two domain controllers.
