LS06 PL19 do not display correctly in integrate ITS 6.40

We are encountering a problem in providing SAP ECC transactions from the portal over integrated ITS.

Here is our landscape:

Portal - EP 6.0 SP13

Target SAP System - ECC 5.0

ITS - WebAS 6.40 (integrated ITS) SP11

Browser - IE 6

Our strategic direction for the portal is expose SAP transactions in a way that does not require SAPGUI deployment. In keeping with this direction, we attempted to expose all of the transactions in the portal using WebGui (SAPGUI for HTML) and Integrated ITS. To accomplish this, on each portal iView, we set parameter "SAP GUI Type" to a value "WebGui". WebGui mode worked well for most iViews/transactions, but failed for some. Specifically, the WebGui page produced by ITS for a specific ECC transaction did not match the content that displays in the SAPGUI for that same transaction. We noticed a general pattern regarding which transactions display correctly and which ones fail. Transactions that display a list of data rows failed.

For the failing transactions, the data in each row of the list was not spaced properly. In particular, the data row is condensed too tightly to the left (spaces are omitted). The width of the row is a few bytes less than it should be. Conversely, the column headings for the data rows are spaced properly. As a result, the data and the column headings are not in sync, making the list output confusing to read. The transaction "Block/Unblock Several Storage Bins Simultaneously" (PL19) is an example of one such transaction.

As another example, the transaction "Create System Inventory Record" (LS06) did not display correctly either. The Warehouse Number field is 3 bytes wide and ITS only displays the 2 leftmost bytes.

As an interim solution we converted all iViews/transactions to WinGui (SAPGUI for Windows) mode, since it is unacceptable to our users to mix WebGui and WinGui content. The WinGui approach is not acceptable long-term, however, as it necessitates SAPGUI deployment to our very large user population.

When/how will ITS 6.40 be fixed so that it displays lists properly? Are there any potential workarounds to this? These transactions do display correctly in ITS 6.2, but I am not interested in going that route.

Hello Kevin,

SP11 for integrated ITS 640 is kind of aged. There is alredy SP15 out. In the meantime some bugs in the dynprolist view had beed fixed, so I would suggest you check out if the latest service package solves your problems.
