Error after system copy

Hi,

I copied a BW Production system to BW Quality system.

I am in the process of configuring SLD

I deleted the BW Production System entries and tried to create a BW Entry for BW Quality System

I am getting the following error

Pls help

CIM_ERR_ALREADY_EXISTS: Instance already exists: SAP_ApplicationSystemInstance.CreationClassName="SAP_ApplicationSystemInstance",Name="BWD.HostName.wdbssapbwd01.InstanceNumber.01"

hi Balaji,

You wil have to go to sld admincim content

find all the content related to the system which yu have created , delete them and try .

Also check if the system is created you need not do all this as this is known bug which we encounter and we can neglect if you are seeing the System.

Hi,

We are seeing the system .Let me neglect it.

But in the JCO settign i am getting the followign error when i try to configure a JCO. I dont know whether tis is due to the above issue.

I have also made the entries in the service file and restarted the system

Hi balaji,

This is a standard eroor.

1)The Hostname of the R/3 system should be there in the /etc/hosts file.

2)Entries for Message Server with name of the Port should be made in the /etc/services file.

E.g. sapms<Instance name> <PORT Number>

sapmsBWD <;port number>

also make sure the user which you are using is part of the public group

Hi,

I did the following and solved the issue.

Logged into SMLG in client 001

change the System to BWD for Public Group

Saved the settings

After this i tested the JCO settings to be successful
