Custom cube data extraction problem

Dear all,

i have made a custom datasource and get data with rsa3, it has 26000 records,

i have created a cube and directly get data with transformation, however i do not see any data in my cube,

with data package it says 0 records, without using psa with dtp it says 0 records.

i can get data to other cubes so i dont have problem in source and target systems.

in rsa3 i have records so i do not have problem in source system.

what else it can be? anthing related with customization?

Hi John

its mandatory to use PSA to load data.

Use PSA ,then run the DTP ,i think u can find data in Cube.

1) create info package (load till PSA).Check the data has coming or not.

2) If data comes ,then run your DTP to get data.

Hi John,

Use PSA to load data from source System, and see any selection conditions are given in Infopack, wghich is not matching with data in source system, in that case 0 records will come.

check all selection in Infopackge and try loading data to PSA and data target.

Could you be testing in RSA3 with a full load and using a delta when trying to run the infopackage?

How about code in your transformation that might drop data meant specifically for your new target?

hi thanks for the answer,

no data send to psa. therefore no data to cube,

but i cant find out why it doesnt work as i see all the records in rsa3.

any ideas?

Hi john,

In your case,

you are getting data from source system ,so its mandatory to use PSA to upload data from source.then run DTP.

In source you can see your data with the help of RSA3 (to view data).if you want to chk records in BI system, load till PSA ,then DTP, you can find records in CUBE.

for example, if data avilable in BI system (Used DSO to stage data) then you can update with the help DTP to Data target(Cube).
