Reg: Generation of Training Proposals from PD

Dear All,

I am new to the PD module of SAP HCM. I need to know how can we generate training proposals from Career Planning and succession planning and also if there is some point in the PE module where we can specify the qualification attained once an employee has successfully attended a training program. We are using SAP ECC 6.0

Hi Kaustav,

When you run Succession Planning /Career Planning/Profile Match up, you get two check boxes at the lower side, which ask you ---Generate Training Proposals & Qualification Deficits only !

First select the Generate Training Proposals box.

Still it will be able to generate training proposal only if you already have that particular Business event Type created...

For second query, there are Attendee checks regarding Prerequisites, qualifications, attendance etc etc., so you have to set in IMG config about the reaction..

Hi,

Thanks a lot for the response. But I have a small query. We can specify the qualifications to the training programs in PP01. But at the time of firmly booking will the qualifications get transferred to the attendees? Also while generating proposals at the time of the development plan, does the data gets pulled from the one maintained in PP01 or it has to be maintained separately in some other place.

Hi Kaustuv Goswami,

Firmly booking does not case transfer of qualifications to employees.

You need to follow up -> save thru PSV2.

In terms of the development plan, when you add the training proposal to the individual development plan and make its status Completed Successfully thru PPDPIM, system asks you to book for the training. Then you do the firmly booking & Follow up activities as usual. Then qualifications get transferred.

Hi Kaustuv Goswami,

Regarding you initial requirement, training proposals are mentioned in development plans.

First you need to create a dev. plan thru OOEC, with change items button you can add training proposals.

Then you assign this plan to the personnel thru PPDPIM.

Regarding the second, goto PP01, for a specific course (E) or course type (D) create relationship A 028 - Imparts Qualification.
