Customer material info record - one to many connection

Hi friends.

I want to post one customer material to much more than one SAP material number (one to many) and get an error message.

can I adjust system to allow one to many connection?

My understanding of your requirement is as under, which I am elustrating with an example:

Customer A - Material A - Customer Material code Z

Customer A - Material B - Customer Material code Z

Customer A - Material C - Customer Material code Z

The above is not allowed in Standard SAP. It is one to one relationship and does not allows one to many.

Here is clarification

We want to maintain one customer material to many SAP materials (i.e. customer material ABC is equal to SAP mat number: 123 and to SAP mat number: 456 and to SAP mat number: 789)

today the system give me error message

I'm almost sure that this is impossible and just asks because I want to be on the safe side

Hi,

With standard transaction code VD51 it is not possible.

You may try to clone the program-table that belongs to VD51, and you can try to add an additional field division as primary key.

In this case, the materials 123, 456 and 789 should belong to different division.

Then you can have the same customer-material number for these material numbers.

But I think unless there is a very real need for this, business wont go for this option.

In our business we added specification and revision fields by copying the standard VD52 table and added some customized codes to our Z-transaction code.
