Hi I am trying to get a report to run on a web server. I am using Visual Studio 2003 and Crystal Reports 2008. I have run my application setup on the web server but I am getting the following error when I try to open the report.
An error has occurred while attempting to load the Crystal Reports runtime. Either the Crystal Reports registry key permissions are insufficient, or the Crystal Reports runtime is not installed correctly. Please install the appropriate Crystal Reports redistributable (CRRedist*.msi) containing the correct version of the Crystal Reports runtime (x86, x64, or Itanium) required. Please go to http://www.businessobjects.com/support for more information.
Any help would be much appreciated.
Hi Rob,
Have you installed the runtimes of CR 2008 on your server, if not than please install from [here|http://resources.businessobjects.com/support/additional_downloads/runtime.asp#08].
Multi-Language Build (cr120_redist_msi.zip) - 37 MB - install this msi file on your server with administrative rights.
Hope this works
Regards,
Amit

How can you "manually" install the runtime if you don't have administrative rights on the machine?
I am trying to install the run-time on a device in a shared environment and the administrators of the machine will not install the runtime using the installer.
Is there some way to work around this?
Thanks,
Marc
