Rollup to aggregate performance

Hi all,

I have a trouble with rollup to aggregate. When I check the RSDDSTATAGGR table I can see 2 different scenarios for the same aggregate:

1. In case the RSDDSTATAGGR-CHANGEMODE = R(Rolling up data from the source cube into the aggregate) the rollup to aggregate takes about 1000 seconds.

2. In case the RSDDSTATAGGR-CHANGEMODE = D(Add from delta because of master data changes) the rollup takes about 15 000 seconds.

The aggregate contains an infoobject which is used as a navigation attribute in cube.

Setting in RSCUSTV8 transaction is Delta Limit = 20 %.

It seems to me really strange that the delta rollup takes so much time and more time than full load from cube?

Do you have any idea why?

Depends on the volume of changes - in a delta - you have to cope with find old records then do a old records minus and new records plus - where as the new build just does a plus
