Hello,
One of our portals will not launch, it's giving the following error.
Portal Runtime Error
An exception occurred while processing a request for :
iView : uk.gov.manchester.portal.logon.default
Component Name : uk.gov.manchester.portal.logon.default
Error occurs during the rendering of jsp component.
Exception id: 10:26_11/09/08_0021_88399250
See the details for the exception ID in the log file
The log file is showing access denied to the above file; does anyone know the operating system pathname of the logon files please so we can check the access.
Thanks,
Phil.
Hey Phil
You can get more information about the exception if you check the log file.
Go to the Java Developer role/Tools/Portal tools/Portal logviewer.
Open the most recent defaultTrace file and search for your exception id (in your case 0021_88399250).
Hope it helps to solve the problem...
Thanks...

Problem solved. It turns out that after upgrading other systems that run on the same server to ORACLE10 there is not enough initial memory available to launch the portal.
