Hello Experts,
I am looking for solution on how to have employees in PA such that there is no payroll to be run for them. These employees could be for example agency staff or some type of external employees.
Current situation is client has got normal employees in the system and payroll is run for them. These new kinds of employees need to be added in the system but payroll is not required for them. This is just to control the licensing cost in SAP. More employees you have for payroll, more cost the client has to pay!
One solution is to block these employees for payroll in Infotype 0003.

Hi Vikki,
SPRO: Personnel Management -> Personnel Administration -> Organizational Data -> Organizational Assignment -> Create payroll area.
In this table unclick Payroll for PA for the payroll area of these personnel.
The payroll for personnel assigned to this payroll area is not executed.

Dear
You can also restrict the employees in participating in payroll.
Put all those employees in one payroll area and do this particular configuration in SPRO
SPRO -
> Payroll --- > Payroll (choose your country) -
> Basic settings ---> Payroll organization -
> check payroll area.
After clicking the above, you get a screen in which you can see an option Run Payroll. That option should not be ticked.

Yes, you can do like that and you can assign the 99 payroll area to IT0001.

Hi,
As Valerie T as suggested Payroll Area 99 is inactive. Assign all ur employee for that Payroll Area.
Or else you create your own Inactive Payroll Area and assign employee to that.
Please check and let me know the results.

Can create a "99" payroll area (not active) and assign them to it....
