Note 943237, Honeywell PHD is supported in xMII 11.0 and 11.5. Out of the existing UDS, which one should I use? My client does not have OPC server for the PHD.
thanks,
Hi Ken,
the only way to connect to Honeywell PHD is via the OPC UDS, so your client will have to install the OPC component of Uniformance... Depending on your requirements, you may need both the OPC DA and OPC HDA UDS for connection.
Here are the very high-level differences between them:
OPC DA: supports CurrentRead and CurrentWrite operations on a single tag
OPC HDA: does not support writing to tags, but does perform historical reads (raw and interpolated) for 1 or more tags.
I would strongly recommend using the 4.x versions of the MII UDS components as they have much nicer debugging and are more configurable. They can however be a little tricky to set up...
Hope this helps,
Sascha
