Hi Experts,

I have created a namespace (urn:idoctofile:ab). In that I have created 2 datatype. One is Root and second is the DT. But here I am not able to activate it. Showing the below error:

Namespace "Namespace" is not defined in the software component version.............!!

I am hanging around with this. Please help.

Hi,

Check whether the namespace is activated.

When u save ur namespace in changelist u hv to activate the SWCV with Exchange fault data and Exchange log data.

After doing this u try to activate ur data type.

Thanks Malini,

I got success in that. Actually to activate it, After creating the Namespace, you will have to go to Change list and select the SWCV and the two default datatypes all together. Then only it wil allow you to activate.

Hiii !!!

This problem happen when you have created the namespace and after saveing it immediately started with the development, Please make sure to activate the namespace defined in the Software component and then start with the development.

No first activate the namespace and software component individually.

Environment --> Do Clear SLD_Cache

Then try to activate the other objects.

&

Activate ExchangeFaultData and ExchangeLogData first

&

Just save your namespace. Try to activate your SWC.

Kindly have a look:

1) The namespace under which you are working is related with your proper software component.

2) Clear cache using SXI_cache.

Hello Soniya,

After creation of the namespace save it and activate it first. From your change list first activate the namespace and later activate the datatypes.

if it is not allowing to you activate the same, just delete the objects and recreate the namespace and activate it. Then go for your further developments like DT, MT e.tc.

Hi,

Are you able to save the datatypes that are created under the SWCV.

Are you able to activate the default DT that is available under the Namespace.
