Defaulting Purchasing Value Key for specific material group

Hi all,

Our client requirment is, they should restrict the over and under tolerance for certain type of material groups.

ie. when they enter any new material in material master, the purchasing value key should default the tolerance values based on the material group.

Is it possiable.

Hello, Jothi,

not it standard; even is you can assign the PurValKey to material group (customizing Purchasing->Material Master->Entry Aids), this is used only for items without material master.

So it's time for custom development; there is useful user-exit EXIT_SAPLMGMU_001 "Enhancements for Material Master Tables" of enhancement MGA00001 "Material Master (Industry): Checks and Enhancements".

You can assign a default purchasing Value key for a material group in the Entry aid settings

SPRO - MM - Purchasing - Material Master - Entry aid
