Is it possible that system creates a project version automatically on change of system / user status at WBS level (not Proj Defn)?
Comments / suggestions please.

you should change the status which you have defiened in version profile manually or automatically .
you can defined meany status in this version.

Yes, it is possible.In the version profile, you specify the objects to be included in a project version, (for example, WBS elements, activities, production resources/tools, or costs) and when the project version should be created. In the version profile, you can enter as many user and/or system statuses as you want for creating a project version.

A project version does get created automatically when Project Defination Status changes.
But can this automatic creation be done when status of only one WBS below a Project Defination changes.
I have define a version profile with required user status and ahve assigned the same to the project profile. Is there something I am missing?

yes its possible to create a project version automatically
by changing of s/s or user status .
By the config of project version and select the S/S status from that you want to create the project version by changing s/s status,define in version profile.
