Field Selection

Dear all,

i am extending MRP view to my material type ROH, in that i want modifiy the required fileds to optional field

Like

MRP type:in MRP1

availability check:MRP3

where can i do in configuration,if it is T.code OMS9 and filed referance ROH what is the selection group.

please advice me

Hi,

When you go to OMSA. there will the field group assigned to your plant. Take that field group and change the field selection through OMS9

For MRP type it is 56

Availability check - 92

Hi,

In detail all our colleqes had given, Mm03, go to the field required press f1 find technical specification.

go to omsr c the technical specification u find a number, go to oms9 click thta number u find the details under thar for which matl type u want u make it required entry & save

for any material

select the field u need to make mandetory

press F1 and find the tech details (table and fields )

now go to OMSR and check the table-field and note the selection grp

now go to OMS9 and here use the sel grp for making field mandetory or optional

MRP Type in MRP1 Field is MARC-DISMM Field Selection Group is 56

Availability Check MRP3 field is MARC-MTVFP Field Selection Group is 92

Now Go to OMS9 and Change them agianst ROH and save.

Hi,

Follow the steps:

1.Just click the tab ,(Which is u want to be optional entry )and press F1 and then technical....get the field name as MARC-DISMM. for MRP type & ..........MARC-MTVFP for availab. check

2.Go to T.Code: OMSR and enter that field name and get Selection Group ( like MARC-DISMM. is 56 ..........MARC-MTVFP is 92)

3.1. Use t.Code: OMS2 and click your material type and in next screen check Field reference ( you have assigned for material type){{ ( example :;For ROH material type the Field reference is ROH)

3.2. Use T.code:OMS9,, Double Click your Field Reference and select field selection Group 56 & select round box of Optional Entry and save. Then do for 92.

Dear,

thak you all for ur quick replay i followed the process

Eventhough it is an optional entry or display (ex MRP type) while creating Material master system is throwing an error Enter MRP Type, even in standra MRP type is optional field in filed selection but while creating material master its required field.

i want this filed should be optional ,how can i proceed.

go to OMSR

MARC-DISMM MRP Type 56 now press the yellow arrow in front of that

then tick the optional entry for field ref MM01

ur problem will solve

You can change the field selection through T.code :

OMSR - Assign fields to field selection groups

OMS9 - Maintain field selection for data screens

Field Selection Group 56 - MARC-DISMM - MRP Type

Field Selection Group 92 - MARC-MTVFP - Checking Group for Availability Check
