Availability Check

Hi,

While creating production order system checks availability of materials. but it is not showing the correct figure.

for example

Material A

Stock on Store location 001: 900

Requirement: 1000

The shortage should be of 100 units but it shows shortage of 1000 units. But on the other hand if there is excess material in the store then it checks correctly and gives no shortage.

Hy Hammad,

Reason may be material is reserved for another order or reservations.

Check the reserved qty for that material in MB24 / MB25.Select all those order / reservation which are on less priority do TECO for temporary bases.And try to release or check material availability for that order.

This setting of Material avaibility is set in T.Code OPJJ (tick is active Include Reservation)

Hi,

The following elements can be included in the availability check:

Stock

safety stock

stock in transfer

quality inspection

blocked stock

Please check the setting of OPJJ and OPJK and checking group assign to material master in MRP3 View or Please check transaction OMB1

Please check Transectieon OPJJ and go to your Checking rule which you have maintain in Material Master of that component and Tick "include Reservation

For how much excess material, system gives no shortage?

Are all the 900 units in Unrestricted use stock?

Dear Johnson,

All the stock is in unrestricted stock. if material is equal to or greater than requirement then it gives no shortage.

Please check :-

1. In MMBE, Is there any reservations already made for that material

2. In Material master, MRP4 view, Ind/Coll indicator should be "2" for that raw material

Please check whether the Any kind of Safety stock is maintained in material master or whether system is considering any kind of reservation.
