MRP and Consumption based planning

Hi

For a Particular material can we do both Consumption based planning with a reorder point and also Material requirement planning, with the same material master settings???

Hi,

Could you please elaborate in details?

As Consumption based planning is one type of MRP.

consumption based planning uses the past consumption data to calculate the future reqmts.

Here the net reqmts calculation is triggered when the stock level falls below reorder point.

Hi

The requirement is that with the same material we have to do reorder point planning as well as normal MRP (PIRs to Production order)
