oracle patch set upgrade pre-requisite

Hi All,

We are in the process of upgrading the oracle patch set and would like to know the support packs or kernel upgrades required for patch set upgrade and any pre-requisite infromation or any SAP recommendations.

PLM: 9.2.0.6 / required 9.2.0.8

ERP: 10.2.0.2/ required 10.2.0.4

BI: 10.2.0.2/ required 10.2.0.4

SAP : ECC 6.0

OS : HP - UX

Support pack level ; 83

DBSL version 700.08

DBSL Patch Level 080

SAP: Business Intelligence(BI)

OS : HP - UX

Support pack level ; 146

DBSL version 700.08

DBSL Patch Level 144

SAP: PLM

OS : Linux

Support pack level ; 43

DBSL version 640.00

DBSL Patch Level 032

Hi,

There are no prerequisites to install a patch set.

It is recommended to upgrade also the oracle client installation.

For the kernel 700 you can/should install the instant client 10.2.0.4

For the kernel 6.40 you can/sould install the client 9.2.0.8

Hi Fidel,

Could you please help me with the patch set installation for PLM: 9.2.0.6 (Existing) to the required 9.2.0.8. if you have any step by step document or any other document that which will help me to install the new patch set.

and any thing that i need to consider for HP Unix platform since this is the first time i am doing in the unix platform

please help
