Problem with Sum?

Hi,

I am having a measure column. I am applying sum to that. But its showing wrong value in that.

So, I tried to use Running Sum to get the actual sum. And using Max(RunningSum). Its giving the actual total value.

It solved my problem.

But, I observed that, there are some negative values coming. So, in the total value place, its showing the maximum of (RunningSum). But its not showing the sum with negative values.

Could any one help me, in solving this issue.

The measure on which you are applying sum, is it a Report Level variable or is it a Measure object coming fom Universe.

If it is from Universe what is the aggregation set to.

How to check this?

Go to Object Properties of this object under Universe.

Under properties tab there is an option:

Choose how this measure will be projected when aggregated:

It should be selcted as "Sum".

Does the Sum function returns correct value if there are no negative values ??
