User Defined Fields

In SAP B1, I want to prevent users from changing settings in the user defined fields. When users goto the Item Master Data and then select (from the menu bar at the top of the window VIEW> User Defined Fields. The fields relevent to the Size Width Matrix can be Grayed out by going to TOOLS-> Customization tools--->>Settings.

My question is: How can I block users from getting to Settings?

I do not want them to be able to access: TOOLS-> Customization tools->>Settings.

I tried the method I thought would work: Administration--> System Initialization > Authorizations> General Authorizations; and this is not working.

Thank you in Advance.

Hi Nate,

1 - On screen 'Additional Authorization Creator' (Administration ->

System Initialization-> Authorizations), create an authoriza-

tion for form id 38. (click on button 'edit' to display screen

'additional authorizations form id' and type '38')

1.1 - Make sure to type the user name in the field 'name'.

2 - Select 'General Authorizations' (Administration -> System Initialization,

Authorizations-> General Authorization) select the user,

and expand User Authorization and assign No Authorization.

This will prevent the users from accessing the user defined fields
