HI SAP guys
I am doing archiving in livelink. Archiving the files form the UNIX PATH to archive link. we have used three standard funciton modules
Archiv_metainfo_get
Archivobject_create_file
Archive_connection_insert.
The files are archived
If they are text fiels means they are successfully archived
If they contain the graphical images means they are not successfully archived.
How do I Fix this issue.
Can any one help me.
regards
Renuka.
You assign the document class to the document type in OAC2, so you wouldn't need to pass it in the FMs, just the document type.
But if both are PDFs then it's not a class mis-match problem.
I'm not sure what the problem could be. Do you have any problems opening the PDF with Adobe Reader?

HI Michel,
I have given the document type for both files as PDF. SInce they are pdf type files.
In some PDF i dont have Images and in some files I have Images
Thats the reason.
And in all the three functions i dont find any document class parameter.
Regards

I'm not familiar with archiving from UNIX PATH, but I would suspect it's a problem with the document class.
If you are trying to archive a graphic file using a document type with TXT document class it would fail.
When you are archiving a text document what is the document type and class?
When you are archiving a graphic image what is the document type and class?
Look at transaction OAC2 if you are unclear what I mean by document type and class.
