how make entries in a table.
what is the procedure.
can i do it in production directly?
As for as possible, post dont do that. Try to maintain whatever entries you want in Quality client and from there, transport to production.
thanks

Hi there,
There are some generic tables which are client specific like TVARV which should me maintained directly in production.
But apart from that for most of the standard SAP tables we cant maintain them directly in production box.
There may be some customized Z tables which can be maintained. Check in SM30 if you have the access to maintain them in production.
Usually majority of the tables are transportable.

Hello,
You may use transaction SM30 to make an entry in a table, provided the table is set as editable by BASIS. In Production system the table update is very much restricted t avoid data inconsistency.
