New Period Control

Hi Gurus

I've a requirement to set up a new period control which will start the depreciation of an asset from 3rd month.

Eg: If asset is acquired in period 1, depreciation should start from period 3

If asset is acquired in period 2, depreciation should start from period 4 etc.

To do this, I need to set up a period control for acquisition which "adds" the months. Can anyone let me know how to do this config in SAP?

Hi

To create a new period control to meet your requirement follow the below

1. Maintain Period Control at TCode OAVS

2. Define Calender Assignments at TCode OAVH

3. Define Time-Dependent Period Controls at TCode AFAMA

4. Generate Period Controls at TCode OA84

Thanks for the reply. Yes, I know the steps, but looking more exactly what should be maintained in OAVH.

I'm also little confused at the steps as I see OAVH, I don't exactly understand what "Generate period controls" is doing.
