Hi Arthur,

Goto PP01.

Select Course Type (D) as the object type & enter the object ID.

Create relationship A 029 (has prerequisite) where type of related object : D and ID of related object is the ID of the course that is a prerequisite.

Best wishes!

hmmmm but sometimes the prerequisite is not a course but more the function or some other external things like degrees.

so for a certain course B it is not a prerequisite that course A is attended.

it is more a prerequisite for course B that the students have at least bachelor degree and or have 5 years work experience in a certain function.

do I try to abuse the prerequisite as sap intended it for what I try to do ?

I don't think these kind of prerequisites can be defined in the system.

Only OM objects can be related to course as a prerequisite.

If you can define what you've said as OM objects (thru data model enhancement), then you allow the relationship & you may make it.

Try it pls.

Hi,

maybe you can handle such prerequisites with qualifications.

hmmm how do I create a qualification ??

do I have to customize something first to make it possible to create it through PP01?

you can create a qualification thru OOQA transaction.

ah thanks that helps , but the code is QK instead of Q and when I want to add a qualification with A-029 I can only select Q and not QK as qualification type ???

create qualification under qualification catalog. (color legend: light blue)

catalogs are used to group qualifications.

ok problem solved but still a question about OOQA, is there a way to find all relevant TE t-codes. I could not find this one anywhere in the menu, also not with search_sap_menu ??

As these are master data, they are generally found in SPRO. e.g. Qualifications Catalog : SPRO:Personnel Management -> Personnel Development ->Master Data -> Edit Qualifications Catalog

ah ok, I also found it in spro, bit confusing since similar tcodes like OOER OOAR are implemented in the sap menu.

ps I thought I was there but when I click on a course with the right mouse and select 'qualifications imparted' I still get nothing ?

If I enter a person for a course I also don't see the qualifications necessary for that course ?

am I missing something in the use of qualifications ??

kind regards
