Material BOM with UoM.

Hi PP Gurus,

We are having one SFG containing some raw materials having Base UoM KG (kilogram) and alternate UoM PC (pieces). The BOM of SFG having UoM as KG. At the same time it is getting used in FG but having UoM as PC. We created SFG with Base UoM KG and alternate UoM is PC and gave proper conversion in material master record. But when we're trying to create BOM for FG and putting SFG as BOM item with UoM as PC system is giving error message.

It it possible in SAP?

hi

you should have to maintained issue unit in material master of SFG is PC in plant data/ stora 1 tab of material master. then system will not give you error.

Hello gurus,

I have a scenario where i have finish material with kg as UOM,for which BOM we have maintained UOM each.For routing also its reflecting kg.When i run MRP for finish material it will consider.My question is how it will affect for routing.

Hi Sunil,

For material quantity calculations it will refer BOM, for activities like machine hour and labor hour calculation it will refer routing. MRP is based on material quantities and respective deliveries, hence it will refere only BOM UOM.
