Hi Basavraj...

IF you are looking to create a partner function Kindly go through the following steps.(Think that you have not created the parnter funcitions and the related configurations, assignments)

Follow the path IMG-Sales and Distribution-Basic Function-Parnter determination-Set up Ptnr detrmn

1.Create the partner funciton(Say ZR)

2.Assign the parnter funciton to your partner procedure

3.Assign the partner function to your Account group.

4.Check all the above 3 steps with sales doucment header

5.Check all the above steps with Delivery

6.Check all the above steps with Billing header

Now go to XD02 and for your customer go to Sales Area-Partner funcitons tab and enter your partner function.

Also I would advise you to check the settings via VOPA once you finish all the settings..

Hope you find this informative.

Thanks,

Hi Basu,

Pls do the following for partner determination:

Path:

SPRO --> Sales and Distribution --> Basic Functions --> Partner determination --> Setup partner determination --> Select setup partner determination for customer master

Step 1

Defining the Partner Functions:

Here we must not define any partner function.

Go to partner functions.

While defining the partner functions if we check the field u201CUniqueu201D that partner faction has to be unique in the customer master i.e. we cannot have multiple partners of that function in a customer master.

Step 2

Assigning the partner functions to the Account group:

Go to account groupu2019s function assignment.

Go to new entries and assign the required partner functions to the required account group and save it.

Step 3

Defining the partner determination procedure

Go to partner determination procedures

Go to new entries and define and save it

NOTE: Procedure contains all the required partner functions.

Step 4

Placing the required partner functions in the procedure:

Select the defined procedure and go to partner functions in procedure.

Go to new entries and place the partner functions

If we check the field u201CNot Modifiableu201D for a partner function it cannot change in the customer master.

If we check the field u201CMandatory Functionu201D it becomes a mandatory in the customer master and save it.

Step 5

Assigning the procedure to the Account Group:

Go to partner determination procedure assignment.

Assign the procedure to the account group and save it.

Your partner determination is now done.

Do revert back in case of further doubts.

Hi,

I think this will help you.

1. Creating customer master

2. Creating sales documents

Authorized partner for release orders: When we create a release order for a contract, we enter the contract

number and the name of the partner who requesting goods. Then system checks if the business partner is authorized

to release contract.

Then system checks the:

Partner in the contract (Rule u2018Au2019).

If partner has partner functions (AG) (AA) Sold u2013 to u2013 party for releasing orders in the contract. Then system

accepts Sold u2013 to u2013 party for releasing order.

Partner in the hierarchy (Rule u2018Bu2019)

After authorization check, the system also checks if more than one Ship u2013 to u2013 party is defined in the contract. If

system contains u201CWEu201D (Ship u2013 to u2013 party) and several u201CAWSu201D (Ship u2013 to u2013 party to release orders), then the system

lists the possible Ship u2013 to u2013 party in a dialog bin. We can define authorized Sold u2013 to u2013 parties (AA) and addition

Ship u2013 to u2013 parties (AW) in the customer master record. When we create contract for customer these partners are

proposed for selection.

Pre u2013 requisite:

 Activate partner determination check in VOV8 of contract document type.

 Partner determination procedure u201CKABu201D (Partner in contract) contains the partner function AA/AW. We

must assign this procedure to the sales document types (contracts) for which the partner authorization

check is relevant. Make this assign in IMG.

 Define and assign partner determination procedure.

 Copy control we can determine only releasing partner should copy from contract to release order, and other

partners are copied from customer master of the Sold u2013 to u2013 party.

Configuration steps:

Define account groups: Transaction code: OBD2

Path:

 IMG

 Financial accounting

 Accounts receivable and accounts payable

 Customer accounts

 Master data

 Preparation for creating customer master data

 Define account groups with screen layout (customer)

 Go to new entries

 Specify your account group and description

 Save and Exit

NOTE: Select one time customer account if he belongs to one time account customer.

Specify output determination procedure: We can specify the output determination procedure in the customer

master from where system automatically proposes output type in the sales document.

Output determination

Output is a form of media from a business to one of its business partners. Ex: Printouts, Faxes, Telexes, E u2013 mails

and Electronic Data Interchange (EDI). The Output determination component offers output functions for Sales,

Shipping and Billing to help in manage sales transactions with our customers and within the organization.

Output can be sent to any of the partners defined in the document.

Outputs are usually in the form of order confirmations, delivery notes, invoices and shipping notifications.

The output determination component offers output functions for sales, shipping transportation and billing to help in

manage sales transactions with our customers and with in the organization.

We can create output.

We can group output.

Employers can send/receive output.

Output directly linked to the corresponding sales transaction Ex: Trough EDI.

System automatically proposes output for a sales and distribution document.

System uses condition technique to determine output.

We use output type to control how the output should be transmitted.

hi,

Define partner functions for different tasks.

Combine these partner functions together into PARTNER PROCEDURE and assign these to the document

types.

Assign business partner functions on the debit side to customer group.

Partner functions: By assigning a partner function to a partner we can determine which functions partner fulfils in

the business processes.

A partner can have more than one function.

Ex: Sold u2013 to u2013 Party, Ship u2013 to u2013 Party, Bill u2013 to u2013 Party, Payer, Forwarding agent, Contract person, etc.

Among these, Sold u2013 to u2013 Party to Payer are mandatory partner functions.
