Serial number tracking of material

Hi experts,

I have a scenario where in i need to track serial number of the material taken on lease against SAP Contract.

We take materials on lease basis. A contract is maintained in SAP for the material. Lease period can vary & depends on end user requirement (and not fixed). lease period can be days, months or even years.

I need to create a report which will give me list of contract against a material in use.

Refer following Reports for Outline Agreements (Contracts & Scheduling Agreements);

ME3N - By Agreement Number 
ME3L - By Vendor 
ME3M - By Material 
ME3C - By Material Group 
ME3B - By Tracking Number 
MELB - Transactions per Tracking Number 
ME3K - By Account Assignment General 
ME3J - By Account Assignment By Project 
ME80RN - General Analyses

report which will give me utilisation of contract & material used alongwith serial number of the material.

I need to to know how to set up the serial number against the material. Need to know the configuration steps.
