Hi Brothers,
I am looking for a FM that just checks, if a particular row in the Master Data table can be deleted. I should not perform the deletion. is there such a FM or does anybody have an idea how to implement this?
Thanks, Johannes
Hi Brother,
did you already check the fm RSDMD_DEL_MASTER_DATA. Normally you can pass a table containing specific md records to it. These records will be check wether they can be deleted or not.

Hi,
I don't know about standard FM,but you can do it through custom developments.
1. You can check whether a master data values is used in any other cubes or not by looking flags in SID tables
like DATAFL & INCLFL.
2. You can do selective deletion in master data table where these flags are not set.
You can create one ABAP program to do above 2 steps and you can implement this in PC also.
Hope you got a way to go.
Let me know if you need more help on this.

Ok, I tried to implement a FM checking the datafl flag but unfortunately I don't get it working.
I would like to check if value 4711 can be deleted from table of InfoObject CUSTOMER. 4711 ist referenced by 4712.
Attr1 and Attr2 are other InfoObjects. Some of them have CUSTOMER as reference characteristic:
/BIC/MCUSTOMER
id attr1 attr2
4711
4712 4711
4713
My guess would be that datafl flag is set in this particular
/BIC/SATTR1
id datafl
4711 X
For 4713 my guess would be that datafl is not set due to the fact that it is not used in other entries.
/BIC/SATTR1
id datafl
4713
Unfortunately this it not the case. How would I implement this?
Thanks, Johannes
