Password inconsistencies on PI between ABAP and JAVA

Hi,

I have having a problem with the passwords between the ABAP and Java Stack. I have read SAP Note 999962 and reset the password of service user PILDUSER with Tx SU01 and made sure the user Id is not locked.

I then attempted to call the Exchange Profile with http://<PI Host>:<port>/dir/start/index.jsp but the link returns the error:

Internal Error

Internal error; contact your system administrator

Unable to read configuration data (ExchangeProfile/aii.properties)

SAP have aske me to use this liknk too:

http://<PIhost>:<Port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_xiexprofui/XIProfileApp

and this returns with a 500 Internal Server Error

Hii David !!

You have to ensure that the password of user PILDUSER is 8 characters or less in both ABAP (SU01) and the Exchange Profile (http://<hostname>:50000/exchangeProfile | Connection)

if the IS client has been changed from the default 001 then try unlocking all PI service users then following the note -

Yes I can login the ABAP Stack with PISUPER with no problem. When I ran Tx SUIM the only user ID that was locked was PILDUSER. I keep unlocking this user ID due to the password inconsistencies.

Can you access to any component of your XI?

I tried with PISUPER but I ahve the same issue. I have checked in WNA that the user ID J2EE_ADMIN is not locked.

Check if there are any user locked in

TC SUIM --> users --> with unsuccesfull logons.

You should be able to connect with PISUPER user. Are you sure you are entering the correct password?

Try to access to your system (ABAP stack) with PISUPER.

Try with PISUPER.

Anyway, J2EE_ADMIN could be locked.

When you go to http://<host>:<port>/exchangeProfile a pop up is displayed.

So you said that the user you entered in this pop up gave you an error, it is correct?

What user are you log on here?

I did not know about the 8 character limit on the password SAP note 999962 doe not list this.

I can change the password in ABAP to 8 characters, but I am still not able to connect to the Exchange profile to change the password.

http://<PIhost>:<Port>/webdynpro/dispatcher/sap.com/tc_xiexprofui/XIProfileApp

Is there another workaround?

u go to

http://<PI Host>:<port>/rep/support/admin/index.html..

Their in repository tab - Exchange profile will appear..

Hi, If in SU01 u had changed then u need to change in Exchange profile. Otherwise theIR & ID will not open
