Hi,
I would like to check in a record, but I get the following error:
"The record is currently used in the workflow, Version 5.5 SP6 (...)"
However I can not delete the record from the workflow because "Workflows->Remove from Job" is greyed out.
What can I do to check in the record?
Best regards,
Roman
Hi Roman,
You are at which stage of your workflow?
I am not sure if you can checkin- checkout records once alreday caught by the workflow.
MDM workflow has given the feature to check out records at the START step and then Checkin again at the stop.
If you are trying to do it in between somwhere and have not enabeled it at thes two points in the workflow i doubt it will work.
Try this workaround:
- Try clicking the record you want to edit
- When you receive the message rec is in use by a workflow
- just try to click the record detail pane and try editing something in the record say the description orsomething else
- After doing this it will release the rec from the workflow.
- But this method might only free the record and allow you to delete it at the max.
- If you want to checkin a record that has been checkout ,it will automatically happen in the stop step,if you have choosen as checkin.Otherwise i do not see any external way to do this.
Hope It Helped,
Thanks & Regards

I am logged in as Administrator, so it should not be a problem with inadequate rights...

Hi,
This can be because the workflow created in the repository by the admin has the rights to modify the repository and the record u mentioned is used for by workflow by some other user.
have a look at this issues.......

Hi Roman,
We had faced the same problem.
Check with the authorizations given for that particular user.
Go to Roles->Functions->Delete Records.
Select execute.
Hope it helps.

Hi Roman,
Delete the Workflow task it will prompt you whether to roll back or check in the changes.

Hi roman,
Might be that the MDM User through which you have logged in does not have rights for removing the record from Job.
Thanks
