Local Editing Problem

Hello friends,

i am new in portal. I have created one room in collaboration on my production client and one word file uploaded in that room when i go to edit that document it gives an error

"If your application does not start, your local settings may be preventing you from editing locally."

When i done same procedure on my development client it works properly.

Is there any settings i have to done on my production client and if so then please tell me detail procedure for it.

To enable local editing some security settings shouls be done on the browser.Check this link it might help u...

check the SAP Note : 1095284

or

Try to add your portal link to Trusted Sites, enable ActiveX elements, unlock pop-up (Internet Explorer settings) and you must have local administrator rights on your computer.

Thanks for reply. as i said earlier on same browser and development client it works fine then i think all settings of internet explorer are done then why error gives on production client.

Thanks for reply. I found solution for this problem.

Please check the host name at given location below.

System Administration -> System Configuration -> Knowledge Management ->

Content Management -> Global Services -> (switch to advanced mode) ->URLgenerator Service -> Host

Give here your http://<full-qualified-server-url>:<port>.
