Hai,

Suppose, if you are running the payroll for salaried employee on a monthly basis, suddenly how can you shift the payroll to semi monthly to those employees.

Hi,

There is no hard and fast rule for it

You can transfer employees from one payroll area to other only obligation will be with statutory norms

For example an employee is transfered from AP Chennai

the ptax calculation is diff similarly there are many variations from region to region i mean legally.

Thats all is what you have to take care.

Cheers

Hi,

That's ok !

But my question was, what's the reason behind not changing the payroll area in middle of the month.

Hi Tomesh,

If you make a change in infotypes 0000, 0001, 0007, 0008, 0027 within a payroll period WPBP table is populated. This may cause some of your wage types to appear twice in the RT which means they are double counted.

That's why, changing these ITs (in your case 0001) in the middle of month is not advisable.

Hi Dilek,

If splits will be there definitely there will be two wagetypes but the amounts they'll have will be based on the rates of those periods.

Suppose an employee got payscale increase on 11th of the month, then employee will be paid at the rate of first payscale for first ten days then @ of second payscale on second 20 days.

So there won't be any inconsistency.

Cause it creates a split in personnel payrolls that you need to deal with.
