while updates absences in IT2001 it has to deduct in 2006
but for some employees it is deducting but for some employees it is not deducting
if there is wrong in deduction rule than it shd not work for any employee
wht might be the reason ???
i check PT_QTA10 same thing exists working fine for some and not working fine for some other employees

Check the config in table V_T559L for employee grouping and personnel sub-area grouping.

I would check an re-check the data for the employee. May be an action exists that make him change his grouping (and there was already some absences, which now do not belong anymore to its grouping)
If you have regular entitlement (i.e monthly) check that at the date of the absence, there was enough entitlement in the quota (run a simulation of time eval on that day)

I have faced the same problem ..
Problem lies in the deduction rule !!!
please delete your deduction rule and counting rule once and
PLEASE RE CREATE THE SAME by taking the screen shots
Mistake what you have commited in past is you have created the counting rule first after that you created the deduction rule ..
this time pl create the deduction rule first then assign ( create counting rule ) and assign the
deduction rule
Surely It will works !
