Hi,
The Partner Connectivity Kit (PCK) enables you to connect to SAP Exchange Infrastructure (SAP XI).
The PCK is a J2EE-based application that uses the Adapter Framework, which is also based on the SAP XI Adapter Engine. The adapter framework is based on the SAP J2EE Engine (part of the SAP Web Application Server) and the J2EE Connector Architecture (JCA).

Hi,
1. what is a PCK
Decentral Adapter Engine is a PCK.
2. How is it different from XI integration server
When Xi is installed we get default, central adapter engine.
Central adapter engine is on Integration server and decentral adapter engine is outside IS.
3. do we have standalone installation of a PCK
Yes
4. when do we need to have a PCK
For load balancing we use decentral engine.
5. Is the architecture of PCK and XI Integration server same
Have a look
PCK is not a part of Integration Server. It is connected to Integration Engine from outside.
